We use Amethyst in our Gemstone Rings and more specifically our Amethyst Rings. The Amethyst that we use in our jewellery is a vibrant purple colour. Amethyst is the Birthstone for February, although anyone who loves this beautiful purple colour can wear it. Amethyst is a purple form of quartz. Historically, it was worn by the Ancient Greeks who believed that Amethyst protected one against getting drunk. On the Mohs Scale which is the mineral hardness scale, it has a hardness of 7 out of 10 which means it does not scratch easily. The Amethyst that we use in our 925 Sterling Silver Amethyst Rings, Rose Gold Amethyst Rings, Yellow Gold Amethyst Rings and White Gold Amethyst Rings orignates from Africa and Bolivia. For the majority of our Gemstone Rings we can set Amethyst instead of other gemstones if you like the design.

Aquamarine is the Birthstone for March, although anyone who loves this beautiful gemstone can wear it with pride and joy. Aquamarine is a form of the mineral Beryl which is from the Greek Beryllos which referred to a precious blue green colour of sea water stone. On the Mohs Scale which is the mineral hardness scale, it has a hardness of 7.5 to 8 out of 10 which means it does not scratch easily. The Aquamarine that we use in our 925 Sterling Silver Aquamarine Rings, Rose Gold Aquamarine Rings, Yellow Gold Aquamarine Rings and White Gold Aquamarine Rings orignates from Brazil. Aquamarines are mined in the United States, Colombia, Tanzania and Kenya. For the majority of our Gemstone Rings we can set Aquamarines instead of other gemstones if you like the design. Blue Topaz is the Birthstone for December, although it can be worn by anyone who loves Topaz. Blue Topaz is a silicate mineral of aluminium and fluorine. On the Mohs Scale which is the mineral hardness scale, it has a hardness of 8 out of 10 which means it does not scratch easily. The Blue Topaz that we use in our 925 Sterling Silver Blue Topaz Rings, Rose Gold Blue Topaz Rings, Yellow Gold Blue Topaz Rings and White Gold Blue Topaz Rings orignate from Russia. Blue Topaz is also mined in the Sri Lanka, Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, Italy, Sweden, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Australia and the United States. For the majority of our Gemstone Rings we can set Blue Topaz instead of other gemstones if you like the design. Coral is the Birthstone for March, although it can be worn by anyone who loves this beautiful red colour stone. Coral is a 3 on the Mohs Scale which is the mineral hardness scale. The Coral that we use in our Coral Rings is the remains of marine membranes. These membranes are surrounded by a fleshy skin. This process happens in deep oceans. Coral is also known to have healing powers against circulatory diseases and to fend off evil spirits. Our Gemstone Rings can be set with Coral instead of other gemstones if you like the design. Emerald is the Birthstone for May, although it can be worn by anyone who loves this beautiful green colour stone. Emerald is a 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs Scale which is the mineral hardness scale, which means it does not scratch easily. The Emerald that we use in our 925 Sterling Silver Emerald Rings, Rose Gold Emerald Rings, Yellow Gold Emerald Rings and White Gold Emerald Rings is derived from the word Esmeraude in Old French language. It is a variety of the mineral Beryl. For the majority of our Gemstone Rings we can set Emerald instead of other gemstones if you like the design. Emerald compliments Opal Opal very well. Garnet

We use Garnet in our Gemstone Rings and more specifically our Garnet Rings. The Garnet that we use in our jewellery is a vibrant deep red colour with good clarity. We use standard Garnet which is more red and also Rhodalite and Almandine Garnet which has a maroon red colour. Garnet is the Birthstone for January, although it can be worn by anyone who loves this beautiful red stone. Garnet is a 6.5 to 7.5 on the Mohs Scale which is the mineral hardness scale. The Garnet that we use in our 925 Sterling Silver Garnet Rings, Rose Gold Garnet Rings, Yellow Gold Garnet Rings and White Gold Garnet Rings is derived from the old English word Gernet which means dark red. Garnets are Nesosilicates which are found in Madagascar, United States, Russia and Turkey. For the majority of our Gemstone Rings we can set Garnet instead of other gemstones if you like the design. Opal

We use Opal in our Gemstone Rings and more specifically our Opal Rings. The Opal that we use in our jewellery is a nice and colourful, although we use two different qualities: A Grade and AAA Grade. A grade will have flecks of colour (not milky white with no colour like a lot of catalogue shops sell) and AAA which will have a nice fire over most of the stone. We use Opals that have a mixture of blues, pinks and greens and also Opals that have a dominant blue green colour. If you have a preference over which Opal you have then please add a message to your order and we will try our best to give you the colours that best matches your Opal requirements. We also use Opal Triplets. These Opals are made from Natural Opal which are stuck to a piece of Matrix. These Opal Triplets are similar in colour to Black Opal but offer greater value for money. If the Opal is white in colour then it is Solid Opal and if the Opal is Blue in colour then it is an Opal Triplet. This is an easy way to tell or you can check the product listing on the item page. Opal is the Birthstone for October, although it can be worn by anyone who loves this beautiful stone. Some people say Opals can bring bad luck but this is nonsense as if it is given with a good heart then Opal will bring you joy and luck. Opal is a 5.5 to 6 on the Mohs Scale which is the mineral hardness scale. The Opal that we use in our 925 Sterling Silver Opal Rings, Rose Gold Opal Rings, Yellow Gold Opal Rings and White Gold Opal Rings are mined in Australia predominantly from the Coober Pedy Mines. Opals are a variety of non-crystalline Silica.. For the majority of our Gemstone Rings we can set Opal instead of other gemstones if you like the design. Opal compliments very well in Amethyst Rings , Aquamarine Rings, Blue Topaz Rings , Citrine Rings , Coral Rings, Emerald Rings , Garnet Rings , Pink Tourmaline Rings .

Pearl

We use Pearl in our Gemstone Rings and more specifically our Pearl Rings. The Pearl that we use in our jewellery is nice and lustrous and is the Cultured Freshwater Pearl variety for the majority of our rings. pearl is a 2.5 to 4.5 on the Mohs Scale which is the mineral hardness scale. The Pearl that we use in our 925 Sterling Silver Pearl Rings, Rose Gold Pearl Rings, Yellow Gold Pearl Rings and White Gold Pearl Rings are sourced in China predominantly from the South Sea. Although some of the dark Pearls that we have are Tahitian Pearls. For the majority of our Gemstone Rings we can set Pearl instead of other gemstones if you like the design (for round stones only).

Peridot

We use Peridot in our Gemstone Rings and more specifically our Peridot Rings. The Peridot that we use in our jewellery is a nice olive green with very good clarity. Peridot is a 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs Scale which is the mineral hardness scale. The Peridot that we use in our 925 Sterling Silver Peridot Rings, Rose Gold Peridot Rings, Yellow Gold Peridot Rings and White Gold Peridot Rings are mined in Brazil and China. Peridot is a variety of Silicate and is a type of Olivine. Peridot is one of the few gemstones which is only available in one colour. For the majority of our Gemstone Rings we can set Peridot instead of other gemstones if you like the.
